NEW DELHI, June 19: Cardamom prices climbed by 2.98 per cent at Rs 1,007 per kg in futures trade today as participants built up fresh positions, taking positive cues from the spot market on good demand.
Besides, tight stocks position on fall in arrivals from growing regions, too, supported the upside.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in July rose by Rs 29.20, or 2.98 per cent, to Rs 1,007 per kg, in a business turnover of 55 lots.
Likewise, the spice for delivery in far-month August was trading higher by Rs 14.20, or 1.48 per cent, to Rs 975 per kg in 7 lots.
