MAHORE, June 19: Following a group clash over possession of uninhabited seasonal Dhoks at remote village Khour under the jurisdiction of Mahore Police Station, the administration has imposed Section 144 in the village while Police detained 14 persons for questioning besides deploying additional force in the area.
Five persons were injured in the group clash and 28 uninhabited Dhoks were burnt during the clashes, which erupted on Sunday after Haji Asadullah, son of Rehman and nine others allegedly torched the seasonal Dhok of one Shokat Ali, son of Mittu Gujjar, resident of Burza Pathri in Mahore tehsil on last Sunday.
The incident triggered retaliation and clashes in which five persons were injured and 28 more Dhoks were torched before the Police could reach the spot.
The injured were identified as Abdul Gaffor, son of Abdul Subban, Ghulam Mohd, son of Ghulam Rasool, Farooq, son of Abdullahg, Mohd Saleem, son of Jamal Din and Abdul Gani, son of Ramzan, all resident of Khour, at present Burza Pathri.
In this connection, Police has lodged three FIRs, number 40/2018, under Section 436/147 RPC, FIR number 41/2018, under section 452,323, 147, 436, 427 RPC and FIR number 42/2018, under section 323, 147, 436 and 427 RPC, at Police Station Mahore.
As the incident triggered tension in the area, SDM Mahore Yasin Choudhary imposed Section 144 in the area while additional Police force was deployed in the village on the instruction of SSP Reasi, Tahir Sajad Bhat.
