KISHTWAR, June 20: Police seized the vehicle of Municipal Committee and arrested the driver for violating the statutory regulations issued under Section 144 CrPC.
As per police sources, a four wheeler vehicle, without the registration number of Municipal Committee Kishtwar was plying in the center of Chowgan ground today.
SSP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary while checking the police and security arrangements for Urs of Heresthan spotted the vehicle moving in the center of the Chowgan ground and immediately directed the police to take action.
A case under FIR Number 174/18 under Sections 279, 336 and 188 RPC has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and the vehicle was seized. The driver of the vehicle identified as Mudasir Ahmed, son of Nazir Ahmed of Gurudwara Chowk Kishtwar has also been arrested.
When contacted, SSP Abrar Chowdhary said that if an order is in force it is equally applicable to Government as well private vehicles. The public is penalized and the Government vehicles enjoy immunity for no reasons, is not justice, SSP added.
