RAMNAGAR, June 27: Ranbir Singh Pathania, MLA Ramnagar, while addressing a workers’ meeting, here today, has rued playing politics over sensitive issues of national security and sovereignty.
“In the past few years, situation had become so fragile that it was difficult to uphold the sovereignty of rule of law and carrying out the functions of the State in accordance with the Constitutional scheme,” he said, adding that the decision to withdraw support and enforce Governor’s rule was in pure national interest.
Alleging that some marginalized, rejected and spent-up leaders have made it a point to make hay out of it, Pathania said that the party cadres of BJP stand firm and tall against such voices of parochial and partition politics. While making a fervent appeal for constructive politics, he made an appeal that national interest is too sensitive issue to play politics over. “Opportunism is always for self interest, but this time it shall be suicidal,” he added.
On the occasion, the BJP cadre expressed confidence in the working of Modi led Government at the centre and satisfaction over the feats and achievements of the Pathania during his very brief stint of three years as MLA.
They listed the achievements in last three years, which included sanctioning of Degree Colleges at Dudu-Basantgarh and Majalta, ITI at Ramnagar, sanctioning of a metalled road from Ramnagar to Basantgarh, Thial to Chountra, Ramnagar to Ghordi, Manwal to Pinger with a considered mission of blacktopping of all roads (PMGSY/ PWD) and electrification of all unelectrified hamlets of Ramnagar, upgradation of High and Higher Secondary Schools, construction of Girls Hostels at Ramnagar, launching of National Rural Livelihood Mission at Ramnagar, Industrial Estates at Marta and Tajoor, spurring up of tourist related activities, reservation/ beautification of holy Shrines/ Temples in the area of Ramnagar and enlistment of Dudu-Basantgarh area on tourist map as well as introduction of state-of art facilities in Mansar, Multipurpose Sports Stadium at Ramnagar, Master Plan for Ramnagar town with a Sewerage Treatment Plant and Solid Waste Management system and a planned Housing Colony for Ramnagar, etc.
