JAMMU, July 1: A month-long cricket Coaching Camp under experts and former cricketers of repute, organized by Parade Sports Association (PSA) to hone skill of budding cricketers, concluded with an impressive function at Parade grounf, here today.
The Camp was organized by Parade Sports Association for young and tender age boys and girls in collaboration with Laxmi Cricket Club.
101 young cricketers were bestowed cricketing tips via lectures for learning different techniques of fielding, batting, bowling and wicket-keeping by former cricketers of repute.
Players also went through physical training under energetic trainer Vicky Dogra, besides learning Yoga and Meditation techniques.
Routine medical checkup of the players was done by the eminent Ayurvedist, Dr Anil Kumar Mahajan, who was assisted by Sanjay Bali. Harsh Nayyar, senior Ranji Trophy Cricketer was the Chief Organizer of the camp, while the coaches included Senior Ranji Trophy Cricketers, Sanjay Sharma, Sameer Khajuria, Randhir Singh Jamwal and Madan Mohan along with senior women cricketers of J&K namely Rupali Salathia (BCCI Level-II coach), Anju Gupta and Sakita Sharma.
Senior cricketers Kapil Dev Mahajan, Pawan Gupta and S. Amarjeet Singh were the organizing team of this camp.
First-class cricketer Dhruv Mahajan, Chairman PSA Pradeep Bali, Senior Cricketer Ramesh Pargal and reputed media and art personality, Vikrant Sharma also bestowed important tips to young cricketers during the Camp.
The camp was held under the overall supervision of Vijay Saberwal, President of PSA.
