AKHNOOR, July 5: Bal-e-Bagh Cricket Club defeated Kameshwar Cricket Club by a narrow margin of 3 runs to win the Championship at Bal-e-Bagh Cricket ground, here today.
Batting first, Bal-e-Bagh Cricket Club scored 94 runs in 12 overs. Ashish and Bunty contributed 25 and 20 runs to the total respectively. From KCC, Shastri took 3 wickets, while Sahil Singh claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Kameshwar Cricket Club scored 91 runs in 12 overs, thus lostthe match by 3 runs. Sourav, Bhupinder and Ajay scored 28, 20 and 22 runs respectively. Aman took 3 wickets, while Bunty and Ashish shared 2 wickets each. Ashish was named as the man of the match, while Ankit was declared as the man of the series.
Sham Singh Langeh, Principal Little Flower High School Akhnoor was the chief guest, while Advocate Vishno Kant Sharma, senior cricketer was the guest of honour. They distributed trophies and medals among the players of winner and runners-up teams.
