DODA, July 6: Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) Jammu scripted a convincing victory over Eleven Hanguls Kashmir by 17 runs in the ongoing All India 14th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship 2018 at Sports Stadium, here today.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by 10 Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda and J&K Bank.
Batting first after winning the toss, YSCC Jammu set a target of 188 runs by losing 7 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Vishal Salhotra top scored with 59 runs, while Ripu Singh contributed 51 runs.
From Eleven Hanguls Kashmir, Owais Shah scalped 3 wickets while Salman Bhat claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Eleven Hanguls Kashmir managed to score 170 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Umar Booda was the top scorer with 72 runs, while Waseem Bhat contributed 18 runs to the total. From YSCC Jammu, Ripu Singh grabbed 3 wickets while Sajad Hussainbagged 2 wickets. Ripu Singh of YSCC Jammu team was declared as the man of the match for his superb all-round performance who was given prize by Senior Cricketer from Udhampur, Naresh Singh.
The match was officiated by Ifroz Rather and Munish Zutshi as umpires, while Sandeep Kaushik acted as the scorer.
