JAMMU, July 12: GD Goenka Public School, Jammu governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust conducted a Workshop on ‘Activity Based Learning’, in which Vaneeta Sareen, a renowned trainer on 21st Century Skills was the resource person.
The Workshop was organised while keeping in mind that English is a Global Language as well as a bare necessity for achieving professional excellence.
21st Century skills such as Self Awareness, Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Problem Solving, Decision Making and Effective Communication were creatively introduced and discussed at length.
“Teaching & Learning can become inherently spontaneous and student- centric, when moved from the confines of the classrooms into the world at large,” expressed the resource person.
Practice what you Preach, Walk the Talk, Put kids to Practice, Do Introspection, Give up ‘Attitude’, Avoid hand holding and plenty more things were discussed to improve on knowledge, skill and positive attitude.
It proved to be a very innovative Workshop brushing the skills of all the teachers making them glisten with positive energy.
The workshop ended with a vote of thanks presented by the Principal, Rajesh Rathore, who appreciated the resource person for enriching the set of teachers with her pearls of wisdom.
