KATHUA, Dec 22: Joshi Cricket Club (JCC) Jallandhar defeated SD College Pathankot in a thrilling contest via super-over in the ongoing 3rd Police Martyrs’ Memorial North Zone T20 Cricket Cup, being organized by District Police Kathua and Shaheed Welfare Committee Kathua at District Sports Stadium, here.
Earlier, batting first, JCC Jallandhar scored 123 runs in 19.4 over, while in reply, SD College also scored equal number of runs and the match ended in a tie, which was finally decided in super-over, wherein JCC emerged winner. Bobby of JCC Jallandhar was adjudged man of the match, who was presented a cash prize of Rs 1500.
Meanwhile, in another match, Gurdaspur Cricket Club drubbed Udhampur Cricket Club by 45 runs in an easy contest. Gurdaspur scored 153 runs in 20 overs, while Udhampur CC bundled-out for 108 runs in 16.4 overs. Mani Sharma of Gurdaspur CC was declared man of the match for scoring 67 runs and taking 2 important wickets. He was presented a cash award of Rs 1500 on the occasion.
