JAMMU, Dec 23: Two persons were killed and two others sustained injuries in two separate road accidents in Ramban and Kishtwar districts.
Police spokesman said that one person was killed and two others received severe injuries when a Tata Max Auto bearing registration number JK17-1723 skidded off the road and rolled down near Shashoo area of Padder tehsil on Kishtwar-Gulabgarh road.
On getting information about the accident, a police party from nearby police station rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. All the critically injured occupants of the ill-fated vehicle were rushed to District Hospital Kishtwar where one of them was pronounced as brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Doulat Ram of Padder. The injured are Romal Singh, son of Chuni Lal of Padder and Rajinder Singh, son of Roshan Lal of Kundal Padder. Their condition was stated to be out of danger when reports last came in.
In another accident, driver was killed when his Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK14B-5453 rolled down into 200 feet deep gorge at Badakund under the jurisdiction of Gool Police Station.
The critically injured driver namely Javed Ahmed, son of Rafiq Ahmed of Badakund was brought out of the gorge by a police team from Sangaldan Police Post and rushed to District Hospital Ramban where he was pronounced as brought dead.
