BJP to press for timely completion of projects: Kavinder

JAMMU, July 24: Showing serious concern over delay in development projects of Jammu region, BJP senior leader & former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today stated that the execution and timely completion of all development projects in Jammu is the first priority of his party.
Kavinder Gupta, who convened a meeting of legislators from Jammu district at his residence here, today discussed the various important issues of public concerns with them threadbare. The meeting discussed for fast pacing of several prestigious projects of the Jammu like the Mubarak Mandi, road widening, four laning of Akhnoor road, Ropeway Project, Tawi River Front development and decided to convey to Governor for the executing the works within the stipulated time. Also, the issue of slow pace of work for all the Jammu based projects was discussed. Matter of delimitation for various wards and inclusion of more areas under the ambit of JMC was also discussed in the meeting
Kavinder Gupta, while speaking in the meeting, stated that the execution and timely completion of all development projects in Jammu is the first priority of BJP. He said that all the issues will be taken up with the Governor and his attention will be invited towards the prompt perusal of matter. He said that only BJP is the true representative of Jammu and as such it is responsibility of every BJP leader to press for all the issues of general masses.
Kavinder Gupta also discussed the strategy for the Panchayat and Urban Local Body elections with the Legislators. He stressed that public is well aware of all the decisive steps taken by the BJP at the Central as well as State level. He called for increased interaction with the ground level activists and the general masses and prompted all the Legislators to conduct regular meetings within their specific constituencies.
While discussing the preparations for Parliament elections, Gupta said that the policies of PM Modi led Government has been appreciated by one and all sections of society. There is a dire need to supplement PM’s effort for achieving a developed nation and “we need to strengthen his hands by ensuring even better results than those achieved in 2014’’, he added and said that ensuring the ground implementation of public welfare schemes of Centre will achieve the bull’s eye.
Former ministers Sat Sharma, Bali Bhagat, Sukhnandan Choudhary, Shyam Choudhary, former MoS Priya Sethi, MLAs Rajesh Gupta, Rajiv Sharma, Dr. Krishan Lal, Dr. Gagan Bhagat, MLCs Ashok Khajuria, Ramesh Arora, Charanjeet Singh Khalsa and Vikram Randhawa were present in the meeting and raised several issues related to their constituencies and public importance.
