DODA, July 24: Thrashing Young Star Cricket Club Jammu by 10 wickets in the semifinals, Rehmat Cricket Club (RCC) Jammu entered into the finals of the ongoing All India 14th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2018, which is being played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by 10 Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda and J&K Bank.
Batting first after winning the toss, YSCC Jammu scored a modest total of 107 runs in 18.5 overs for the loss of 10 wickets. Keshav Sharma, Rishab Bhagat and Jatinder Jatt contributed 14 runs each. For RCC Jammu, Teena was the the pick of bowlers who took 3 wickets, while Ankit Tomar, Ankush Nagar and Piyush shared 2 wickets each.
Rehmat Cricket Club Jammu in reply achieved the target easily in 8 overs without losing any wicket, thus won the match by 10 wickets. Vicky played a magnificent innings of 64 runs off 28 balls while Abhimanyu Khod contributed 39 runs to the total.
For his brilliant performance with the bat, Vicky of Rehmat Cricket Club Jammu was adjudged as the man of the match who was given prize by Ishtiaq Ahmed Wani, Dr Tariq Masood, Mohammad Shafi Attu, Ishtiaq Ahmed Dev, Dr Nasir Masood, Ilyas Butt and Dr Hamid Parray
The match was officiated by Harish Raza and Yousuf Raza as umpires while Sandeep Kaushik was the scorer.
