POONCH, Dec 23: Kings XI Poonch defeated Purani Poonch Football Club by a solitary goal to win the title in Poonch District Football Championship, which concluded here.
Earlier, Wahid pelted a superb goal in 26th minute of the match to help his team dominate the proceedings. Though, both the teams made some good moves in the second half, yet failed to score any goal and Kings XI finally won the match by a solitary goal.
The Championship in which football clubs took part was organized by the District Football Association (DFA) Poonch under the overall supervision of Vijay Kumar Sharma with Vijay Kumar and Bhupinder Singh being the organizing secretaries.
SSP Poonch Shamsheer Hussain was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while SAI hockey coach Sham Lal Sharma presided over the function.
