UDHAMPUR, Aug 3: Accusing the BJP leadership of using the civil and police administration to browbeat and bully the NPP leaders in a vain bid to silence their voice, Harsh Dev Singh, JKNPP chairman and former Minister said that Panthers could not be cowed down by such oppressive onslaughts unleashed against them.
He said that Panthers’ fight was for justice and restoration of honour and dignity of Dogras and the movement launched by it for Jammu could not be allowed to get scuttled only because of the pressure tactics of hostile elements and opportunist politicians.
“With dozens of FIRs having been registered against NPP leaders and workers over non issues at the behest of vested interests, Singh said that it had only exposed the moles in administration who had abandoned even the mere pretence of impartiality. Those officers who earlier claimed to be fair and unbiased had now shamelessly shed the cloak of neutrality and were openly working under the tutelage of their political masters and promoting their agenda”, said Harsh.
He said this while addressing several public and workers meetings during his whirlwind tour of Ramnagar Town, Manwal, Satrairi, Bharnara and Pathwar villages of Ramnagar constituency today.
Coming down heavily on the BJP leadership for having brought disgrace to the people of Jammu region by their cowardly posturing and ignominious surrenders while in power, Singh said that time had come to give a befitting reply to the saffron leadership. He said that people were seething with anger against the politics of treachery and subterfuge played by the BJP and the upcoming Municipal and Panchayat elections would surely show the mirror to these power hungry, imbecile, opportunist leaders.
He urged upon the youth in particular to join hands to seek separate PSC and SSBs for the two provinces of the State so as to end all bias in employment against our region once for all.
