Newly appointed Judges administered oath

SRINAGAR, Aug 7: Acting Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Justice Alok Aradhe today administered oath of office to two newly appointed Judges of J&K High Court—Justice Sindhu Sharma and Justice Rashid Ali Dar.
However, Justice Geeta Mittal, who has been appointed as Chief Justice of J&K High Court, will take oath at Raj Bhawan Srinagar on August 11.
The warrants of appointments of new Judges issued by the President of India Ram Nath Kovind were read out by Registrar General of the High Court  Sanjay Dhar. He also read out the Letter of Authorization issued by the Governor authorizing Acting Chief Justice of the High Court to administer the oath of office to the newly appointed Judges.
Advisor to Governor B B Vyas, Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey, Justice M  K Hanjura, Advocate General D C Raina, Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam, Chairman, Human Rights Commission J&K, Justice (Retd) Bilal Nazki, Former Judges of High Court, Secretary Law, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Judicial Officers, Law Officers and staff of the High Court Registry were also present on the occasion.
