SRINAGAR, Aug 7: Police arrested a cheater who was impersonating as Vigilance Commissioner here today.
A police spokesman said that Srinagar Police arrested an impersonator identified as Javed Akhtar with his wife Nishat Akhtar, a resident of House no F-82, G-10, Jawaher Park Lakashmi Nager, Delhi East who was impersonating as Vigilance Commissioner and was wanted in case FIR no 40/2018 under Section 419, 420, 120B RPC of Police Station Rajbagh. Further investigation of the case is under progress.
He said general public is requested that if anyone has any grievance or has been cheated or duped by them may report in Police Station Rajbagh for the resolution of their matters.
