Sir,
I heard most of my friends say “India is not a safe place to live…we are not safe in India”…. In this context I would like to say that
Yes, India is not a safe place to live for women. But is USA a safe place for children? Is China a safe place to stay for parents with 2 children? Is France a safe place to stay? Probably the only place safe…is Vatican city…or may be not!!
And, instead of cribbing about safety, tell me one thing that you did to improve the situation. Tell me one step you took to make yourself heard?!
No place is safe. We have to work hard to earn few things. Be it money, independence, respect, clutter free India, pollution free, corruption free society, law abiding people and yes safety as well. It’s extremely easy to disown. It is extremely difficult to be intolerant and proactive about demolishing the wrong. Don’t be God fearing, be God loving…be Good loving.
It is us who define India…It is us who should learn to respect women, men, children.
The world doesn’t end!! The world starts here. Be the change you want to see in the world. I respect my country because I know that if brutality happened in Delhi, my countrymen (across the nation and beyond) are not dead inside, they will not move on. they will seak justice. And people who committed the crime will be punished!
I will take one small step to improve my nation. We are not… the people who drink, dance and have fun (And build monuments for great and not so great leaders) !!! If someone has fun on a bus after heavy drinks on someone else’s expense…He/they will be punished!!! And NO Guns are not the answer to all the questions. We should start acting responsibly. Be the change!
Yours etc….
