JAMMU, Aug 12: SMVD Narayana Super-speciality Hospital in association with Jammu Badminton Association and Delhi Public School Jammu organized ‘Cyclothon’-an initiative to promote cycling, here today.
The Cyclothon was flagged off by Dr M. Kumar, Additional CEO Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), while Dr (Brig) Manmohan Harjai, CEO SMVDNSH and RC Raina were the guests of honour.
The Cyclothon began in the wee hours and passed through Fire Brigade Office, Satwari, Jewel Chowk and Gummat to cover a distance of 10 kilometers before culminating with live band retreat, welcome of cyclists by the students at Delhi Public School in Jammu.
Over 100 people participated in the Cyclothon.
The participants included professional cyclists from Jammu Cyclist Club, Addict Bikers Club and JMBC.
Dr Kumar while addressing a large gathering spoke about the importance of living a healthy life and provided several health tips.
