Tributes paid to Udham Singh on his birth anniversary

JAMMU, Dec 26: J&K Freedom Fighters Association today paid rich tributes to Udham Singh on his birth anniversary at a function held at Home for Children, Channi Himmat.
The function was presided over by Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation KL Khajuria, while Joint Commissioner, JMC, Babu Ram, Arvind Kotwal, RTO and Mohd Saleem Manhas, ARTO, were the guest of honour.
On the occasion, the speakers threw light on the life of Udham Singh, Subash Chander Bose, Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru, Chander Shekhar Azad, who sacrificed their lives for the sake of country.
They asked the youngsters to follow the path of dedication, sacrifice and patriotism shown by the martyrs.
Later, the dignitaries distributed sweets and warm clothes amongst the children.
The speakers included Ved Gandotra, president of the association, Raj Kumar Tyagi, Gajan Singh, Surinder Singh, Nanak Singh, Ram Rattan Raina, Charanjeet Singh, Harinder Singh and Munshi Ram.
