JAMMU, Aug 23: Over 2.15 lakh pilgrims have paid obeisance at Machail Mata shrine since the commencement of yatra in the last week of July.
As per official data, a total of 2,16, 195 pilgrims including 92616 males, 79676 females, 43766 children and 137 sadhus have paid obeisance at the shrine till date since the commencement of Yatra on July 25, this year.
Around 7100 pilgrims paid obeisance at the revered shrine of Machail Mata today.
The number will increase considerably in the coming days as huge number of pilgrims are still reaching Kishtwar and Gulabgarh, the base camp of the shrine, everyday.
It is worthwhile to mention that this year, local people of Kishtwar and its adjoining areas have voluntarily arranged langars and other facilities for the pilgrims at maximum number of halting points.
