BJP State President Ravinder Raina (MLA) expressed great shock and pain over the dastardly act of terrorists in killing a BJP worker Shabir Ahmed Bhat and Fayaz Ahmed Shah a trainee police constable in South Kashmir. Paying tributes to Shabir Ahmed Bhat he said Shabir was a BJP worker who believed in unity of the country and had faith in the secular democratic ethos of the nation. The killing of Fayaz Ahmed Shah who was recently promoted as constable and was undergoing training betrays the terrorist’s panic and frustration.
He said the anti-national and terrorist forces do not countenance any opposite thinking which is contrary to their retrograde and regressive thinking. These killings have been made on account of the start of the election process for the Panchayats and Local Bodies in the State. The anti-national forces do not want people to exercise and enjoy their democratic right of voting, he added.
Dr. Narinder Singh, who was earlier also the Prabhari for Kashmir region, recalled the dedication of martyr Shabir Ahmad Bhat for the party and the society. He said that the BJP fully stands by the side of martyr’s family in this difficult hour. He said that nobody can fill the void created by the death of a precious life and the BJP will make it sure that the culprits be brought to book and be dealt with iron hands.
