RAMBAN, Aug 23: A housewife allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substances at her residence in Chanjlu area in Tehsil Banihal.
As per police sources, a 29-year-old lady identified as Atika Begum, wife of Bahar Ahmed Jodha allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her residence in Chanjlu.
Finding her unconscious, family members rushed her to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Banihal, where doctors declared her as brought dead.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased has been handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Banihal police has taken cognizance in this regards.
