Private Schools Association holds meet, discusses issues

UDHAMPUR, Aug 24: A meeting of Private Schools of Khoon, Raiper, Sunal, Roun, Baryal, Dhema, Kather , Ramkot, Nagrota Gujroo, Chani Mansar, Kail Pardhi was held at NVJSN High School Khoon, here today.
The members discussed number of issues pertaining to the delay in sanctioning of recognition by the School Education Department to the schools which were granted affiliation on April 17, 2018 by JKBOSE, hurdle in obtaining recognition up to class 8th by DSE due to FFC and forthcoming problems due to self contradictory SRO 292 of July 2018.
The members also unanimously elected Neeraj Kesar, Ashok Kumar & Shardha Devi as President, General Secretary & Treasurer of Babey & Majalta zone collectively under the presidium of Ajay Gupta, General Secretary JKPSA, Vishwa Mohan Sharma (Udhampur) & Ajay Singh (Reasi).
General Secretary of JKPSA Ajay Gupta after thorough discussion briefed the associates that FFC is sub-judice in the High Court of J & K, adding that NOC from FFC is not required to the members who are registered with JKPSA until & unless government does not come out with a clear cut policy for unaided self financed Private schools.
He appealed to the Private schools which had sought approval for their school fee from the FFC to collect only approved fee from the parents after providing authenticated receipt. Prominent among others who attended the meeting included RP Sharma, President Udhampur, Chain Singh, Siddheshwar Sodotra, Jatinder Heera, Reham Din, Ambika Devi, Bodh Raj, Vijay Kumar, Manoj Sharma, Shashi Sharma, Sonika Sharma, Chain Singh, Bimla Devi, Ashok Sharma, Darshan Kumar, Kulbir Singh, Ravi Kumar Kesar and DC Atri.
