Dogra Kranti Dal to start anti-drug campaign from Sept 2

UDHAMPUR, Aug 24: As a part of its anti-drug campaign, Dogra Kranti Dal will organize Marathon (a Run for Drug Eviction) at every panchayat of the district starting from September 2.
The 1st marathon will be started at 6 AM on September 2 from Garnai Panchayat and will conclude at Rathian Panchayat at 8 AM.
This was disclosed by Naresh Kumar, Udhampur City president, Dogra Kranti Dal, while addressing a press conference here today. Naresh revealed that in first phase of the campaign, marathon will be organized at every panchayat while in second phase, sports activities and nukkad plays will be organized.
Lambasting the Government, Naresh said that successive regimes in State failed to stop drug menace. He expressed his grief over the recent deaths of youngsters in Udhampur, who lost their precious lives due to Heroine (Chitta) in recent days.
He further said that “Udta Udhampur” is serious threat on our society especially on our youngsters. Naresh urged newly appointed Governor Satya Pal Malik to take early steps and make comprehensive policy to stop drug menace.
Lastly, he appealed the citizens of Udhampur and parents of the youngsters to join hands to fight against drugs.
