JAMMU, Aug 27: Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu Prof. Manoj Dhar today flaged off Jammu University Employees Cricket Team for participation in the All India Vice-Chancellor’s Cricket Tournament 2018 to be played at University of Kashmir from August 29 to September 13, 2018.
Prof. Dhar encouraged all the players and hoped that they would perform well in the tournament and asked the players to keep the sportsman spirit alive in the team.
“Winning and losing is part and parcel of the game, what matters is the participation and how well you put is your efforts matters while playing”, added Prof. Dhar.
On the occasion, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba was also present along with President, NTEU Pawan Singh Bhau, Sham Lal, General Secretary and other office bearers/members of Jammu University Non-Teaching Employees Union.
The team included Rajesh Salhotra (Captain), Niranjan Singh (Vice-Captain), Sumit Sharma, Dr. Noor-ul-Asrar Beg, Vishal Sudan, Sandeep Bakshi, Balwant Singh, Deepak, Suheel Fazal, Avtar Sharma, Gurpal Singh, Ayush, Ankush, Aman and Sanjeev Chadha. The management committee included Pawan Singh Bhau (Manager), Sham Lal (Assistant Manager), Sanjeev Chadha (Treasurer), Deep (Kit man) and Ram Sarup (Support Staff).
