JAMMU, Aug 30: Chamber of Traders Federation(CTF) held an interactive meeting with the Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation Arvind Kotwal and Vice Chairman of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) PS Rathore here today.
The heads of various trade bodies besides luminaries from banking sector were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering Neeraj Anand, president CTF and vice president Confederation of All India Traders said that People of Jammu have very high hopes from these two important civic bodies especially, after beginning of Smart City Projects.
Sharing concerns of the business community with the dignitaries Neeraj said, “ We believe that Government authorities would also take viewpoint of trade leaders and suggested that a coordination committee be formed to effectively roll out the new parameters as per master plan.”
He maintained that Jammu is a law abiding society and if healthy interactions are held taking practical viewpoints of traders and citizens into consideration, people would be more than willing in transforming Jammu into a smart city full of modern amenities as per the vision of Central and State Government.
Kotwal in his address assured the gathering that his department will surely take into consideration the genuine concerns of the public while implementing policies; he however, added that as a public servant “we have our own limitations” .
PS Rathore dwelled upon role of JDA and also shared concern with regard to land grabbing. He invited suggestions from the gathering for improving the working of JDA so that public is served better.
