KATHUA, Aug 31: Hiranagar Sub Division Administration during an anti encroachment drive removed 160 illegally raised structure in front of the shops, 10 khokas and 2 shops.
The anti-encroachment drive is part of the massive anti-encrochment plan started on the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Rohit Khajuria all across the district.
The team headed by Sub Divisional Magistrate, Hiranagar, Suresh Chander, Tehsildar, Avatar Singh, AEE PHE, AEE STD and staff of NHAI visited Chadwal and Chadwal -Sanjimorh Link road and removed the encroachments from there.
SDM Hiranagar, said that the drive was part of regular action on the encroachers. He said for swift removal of illegal structures three JCBs were pressed into action. He appealed people and especially shopkeepers to desist from the practice of encroachments on pavements and alongside roads. He said such drives will be held on regular basis to keep a check on encroaches.
