JAMMU, Aug 31: More than 2.26 lakh pilgrims paid obeisance at revered Chandi Mata Dham at Machail since commencement of the yatra in the last week of July.
As per official data, a total of 2,26,061 pilgrims including 96,953 males, 83,454 females, 45,509 children and 145 sadhus have paid obeisance at the shrine till date since the commencement of Yatra on July 25, this year. Today, 219 pilgrims paid obeisance at Chandi Mata Dham.
The number may increase in coming days as pilgrims are still reaching Kishtwar and Gulabgarh, the base camp of the shrine, everyday.
Tight security arrangements have been made by the administration for the convenience of the devotees visiting the revered shrine of Machail Mata.
