MENDHAR, Sept 6: The people from Upper Ari in Harni area of Mendhar held protest against the PHE authorities for severe water crisis in the area for the last more than two weeks.
The villagers including women and children assembled on the road at Ari village and held protest demonstration against the PHE authorities, Poonch. They alleged that water pipes have broken and local water pumping station was lying out of order. The matter was also brought to the notice of concerned authorities but nearly 80 families of this village have been left to face water crisis. They demanded intervention of DC Poonch and warned to conduct Gherao of the office of AEE Mendhar, if the water supply is not restored by Sunday.
