JAMMU, Sept 6: On the directions of Chief Justice, State High Court has established cells for monitoring the execution of mega projects pertaining to the judiciary.
According to an order issued by Sanjay Dhar, Registrar General, Building and Infrastructure Committee of the High Court shall function as the monitoring cell for supervising the execution of projects pertaining to the judiciary at the State level.
At the district level, a
committee comprising of Principal District and Sessions Judge and Chief Judicial Magistrate shall monitor the execution of projects pertaining to the subordinate judiciary of the concerned district.
The district level monitoring committee shall furnish monthly progress reports pertaining to the execution of the projects in the district to the State Level Monitoring Committee.
It is pertinent to mention here that on August 10, 2018, EXCELSIOR had exclusively reported that fate of several projects of judiciary was hanging in balance for want of sufficient funds and Government was finding it difficult to take up new projects recommended by the State High Court due to meagre hike in allocation under Centrally Sponsored Scheme during the current financial year.
