JAMMU, Sept 8: Former skipper J&K Ranji Trophy team and Indian Cricket League (ICL) player, Dhruv Mahajan, who was Senior Selector of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), has resigned as a selector today.
When contacted Dhruv Mahajan said that there was a lot of interference in the selection process by Irfan Pathan, which he alleged is a violation of the Constitution.
He said Pathan has been appointed Player cum Mentor of J&K Ranji Trophy team and his interference in the selection process is a ‘Conflict of Interest’ and he cannot be part of the selection process.
“I don’t want to be part of any committee which is not working according to the Constitution. Moreover when the selection process is being influenced by a person who is not a part of the selection committee, then there is no point carrying on,” added Dhruv.
