JAMMU, Sept 8: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) President Subash Shastri today demanded regularization of 61,000 daily rated workers engaged in various departments of State Government.
He also appealed to the Governor S P Malik to intervene in this matter.
Addressing NMC workers here today Shastri demanded release of 7th pay commission arrears to the State pensioners in one installment and early enhancement of medical allowance to Rs 1000 for the State pensioners.
He also demanded release of all pending wages of daily rated workers working in the various departments and total exemption of DA from income tax slab besides increasing the wages of daily rated workers to Rs. 500 per day.
Among others who were also present on the occasion included Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Darshan Bawa, Madan Lal, Sukhdev Singh, Suraj Parkash, Ram Singh, Surinder Kumar, Jai Pal Sharma, Bhupinder Singh, Ramesh Sharma and others.
