Teachers suggest measures to improve education standard in Govt schools

JAMMU, Jan 1: A deputation of All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation today called on Director School Education, Jammu, Dev Lata Sharma and suggested her various measures to improve the standard of education in the State schools.
The deputation, led by Bushan Sharma and Maheshwar Prasad, suggested free supply of books before commencement of academic session, engage contractual teachers in Government schools to fulfill the shortage of teachers, rationalization of teachers and review of Continuing Comprehensive Evaluation scheme.
They explained that due to unprecedented delay in distribution of free books in the schools, students fail to go through and prepare for exams while because of no rationalization some schools are facing shortage of teachers whereas others have more number than required. The Federation also demanded implementation of CCE in SSE and HSP-II on the basis of choice of the students as introduced in CBSE.
The Director assured timely supply of books besides taking other possible steps to raise the standard of education in Government schools.
The deputation comprised of Madan Lal Sharma, Pardeep Kumar Sharma, Manjeet Singh, Pawan Kumar, Mohan Singh, Harvinder Pal Singh, Harbajan Singh, Guljar Ahmed, Mohd Kasim Malik, Kuldeep Kumar, Saleem Ahmed and others.
