Trade unions to hold two day strike

JAMMU, Jan 1: Trade unions of J&K held a meeting under the chairmanship of Shiv Kumar Sharma, President INTUC and decided to hold two day strike on February 21 and 22.
While speaking, Shiv Kumar Sharma demanded enhancement of minimum wages to Rs 10000 per month, stopping of outsourcing, contractization and casualisation in Government and semi-Government Departments, implementation of labour laws, removal of ceiling on payment and eligibility of bonus provident fund and increase in quantum of Gratuity and assured pension for all.
Among others present were Raghubir Singh Chib, Amrik Singh, Kuldeep Raj (INTUC), Nirdosh Upal, Raj Kumar (CITU and IWU), Mohd Maqbool, Gurmeet Singh, Ram kumar Sharma (JKCCTU) and various other trade union leaders.
