KARGIL, Jan 1: In order to streamline the power distribution system in district about Rs 75 lakh are being spent to strengthen the power receiving stations. These funds have been contributed by the three legislators of the district.
These include the Minister for CAPD and Transport, Qamar Ali Akhoon, MLA Zanaskar, Feroz Ahmed Khan and MLC Aga Syed Ahmed Rizvi. They contributed Rs. 25 lakh each out of their Constituency Development Funds (CDF). This step has been taken to improve power situation in the district during the winter.
