Poonch, Jammu, Kathua win Inter-District Girls Football titles

POONCH, Sept 15: Getting the better of their respective rivals convincingly in the summit clashes, District Poonch, Jammu and Kathua eves lifted the Under-19, Under-17 and Under-14 Football titles in the In the ongoing Division level inter District Football Tournament, conducted by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, here.
The tournament is being organised under the supervision of S. Narjeet Singh, In-charge District Poonch and S. Narinder Singh, ZPEO Poonch.
In Under-19 girls final, Poonch beat Samba by four goals to one (4-1), while in Under-17 girls final, Jammu defeated Poonch by a solitary goal (1-0) and in Under-14 girls final, Kathua beat Jammu by two goals to nil (2-0).
Earlier, in boys section, Jammu defeated Kathua by five goals to nil (5-0) and Poonch thrashed Samba by eight goals to nil (8-0) in Under-14 category, while in Under-19 category, Poonch beat Rajouri by two goals to one (2-1) and in Under-17 boys, Poonch beat Kathua by three goals to nil (3-0).
Sudhershan Kumar, Principal Boys HSS Poonch was the chief guest on the occasion, who interacted with the players.
The matches were officiated by Rajinder Singh, Rajinder Singh Toofan, Kewal Krishan, Mohinder Bali, Rajinder Singh Jr, Tarlochan Songh, Narinder Singh, Rajesh Kumar, Romesh Kumar and Bachiter singh.
