PCC takes strong note of NC leader’s remarks

JAMMU, Jan 11: Taking strong exception to the remarks of senior NC leader Sheikh Nazir, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) has said that such leaders present `sick minds’ within their party.
Reacting sharply to the remarks of Sheikh Nazir in which he has accused Delhi of betrayal over the demand of plebiscite, PCC chief spokesman Ravinder Sharma said such people represent sick minds within their party as its leadership always advocated for strengthening the bonds of relationship with Centre and the Congress Party.
Terming the statement as highly objectionable and mischievous, Mr Sharma said, “Leaders like Sheikh Nazir always lived in fools paradise and could not come out of their basic mentality, to work for the better future of the people of Kashmir. Politicians like him were responsible for misguiding and exploiting the sentiments of Kashmiri youth and pushing the State towards worst kind of turmoil and destruction.”
He further alleged that these leaders betrayed the faith of people here and the Delhi and now trying to befool themselves as they can no longer befool the masses of Kashmir, who realize that their future lies with this great nation and the clock of progress in Kashmir has moved forward on a passive scale, which can not be reversed.
“They better change their mindset and stop vitiating the atmosphere of peace in the State,” the spokesman added.
