Audax India holds 300 kms Cycling event

BHATHINDA, Sept 28: The Audax India, which is a part of Audax France, organised a Brevet event at Bhatinda for 300 kilometers Cycling.
Audax India Randonneurs (AIR) is the all-India organisation of randonneurs, which is recognised by Audax Club Parisien (ACP) for conducting and overseeing all Brevets de Randonneurs Mondiaux (BRMs) and Audax events in India.
In this event, 5 cyclists of JK Randonneurs from Jammu participated including one girl rider Sonali Sharma.
The total number of cyclists from all over India were 83 in the event which was organised by Bhatinda Randonneurs.
The event started from Bhatinda and passed through Mansa to Patiala and back to Bhatinda covering 300 kms on Cycle.
5 Cyclists who participated in 300 Kms Cycling event included Anil Kumar Sharma (52), Sunil Kumar (35), Harpyas Singh (48), Suryaansh Sharma (19) and Sonali Sharma (21) (Only female rider out of 83 Cyclists).
The interesting part of the event was the cyclists rode in the rain for more than 260 kilometers out of a total of 300 kilometers.
The JK Randonneurs from Jammu were practising for this event for the past more than one month and because of vigrous training they were able to complete it. Balvinder Singh (Goldy), a well known name in Cycling at Jammy and founder of Jammu Cyclist Group supported for this brevet as a mentor.
The JK Randonneurs is aiming for the title of Super Randonneurs for which they have to complete all the rides of 200, 300, 400 and 600 kilometers in one calendar year.
