Only NC-Congress can uphold unity, integrity of State: Slathia

JAMMU, Jan 13: Saying that the NC-Congress coalition has all the allures to change the fortunes of the State, the Minister for Industries and Commerce S. S. Slathia today said that the contribution of Coalition Government in socio-economic progress of the State is unprecedented and unparallel.
Addressing a public gathering at Chak Daulat in Vijaypur, Mr. Slathia sought people’s whole hearted support to strengthen the Coalition Government asserting that the present dispensation has a clear vision to change the fortunes of the State and its people. He said J&K being the abode of pious and spiritual ethos cannot afford to be divided on the basis of caste, creed, colour, region or religious as was being tried by some divisive and anti-nation elements adding that all such nefarious designs will be thwarted tooth and nail.
He said both NC-Congress coalition partners, having strong secular democratic credential, only can ensure unity and integrity of the State and progress and prosperity of its people. Mr. Slathia also gave a detailed account of the landmark achievements of the present Government and asked the people to judge it’s performance by its deeds on the ground.
Earlier, the Minister inaugurated Grameen standard tractor- showroom cum sales outlet set-up in private sector at Jakh Tarore, Vijaypur and urged for developing a congenial industrial culture to bring a sustainable socio-economic transformation in the State. He said need of the hour was to inculcate entrepreneurship spirit among youth by changing their mindset towards self-employment.
Mr. Slathia enjoined upon the authorities at the helm of affairs that it was their paramount duty to create a congenial atmosphere for entrepreneurship and industrialization so that burgeoning problem of unemployment is addressed in a holistic manner. He said though the Coalition Government under the leadership of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has launched a, first of its kind in the country, SKEWPY to provide gainful employment to the educated youth, its optimum implementation yet remains to reach its full zenith, adding that there was a dire need for a massive awareness campaign about its multifaceted and far reaching benefits.
The District Development Commissioner Samba, Mubarak Singh and concerned engineers and officers of the district administration were also present on the occasion.
Responding to the demands of the people, Mr. Slathia assured that all the genuine grievances of the people will be redressed steadily.
