JAMMU, Sept 29: In the Combined age of 115+ years, the duo of Kiran Wattal and Daljeet defeated their counterparts from Haryana, the pair of PC Tiwari and H Gian Sagar convincingly to enter the quarterfinals of the ongoing All India Jammu Masters Badminton Championship, being organised by the Tigers Badminton Association, under the Chairmanship of Dilbag Singh, DGP J&K at Police Lines Badminton Hall, here.
The other pairs of J&K, who emerged winners today included Romesh and Rajinder, who defeated Jagdeep and Balwinder of Punjab; Anil and Dr Neeraj who got the better of Purshotam and Atul of Maharashtra; Anil Gurkha and Sunil, who defeated Satpal and Jaswinder of Haryana; Nazneen and Showkat drubbed Manmohan and Gopal of Uttrakhand and the pair of Preeti and Sheetal, who trounced Sunita and Suchitra of Haryana.
The winners from other States in different age categories included Manik and Abhishekh of Uttarakhand, Harshdeep and Aman of Delhi, Srikant and Opinder of Delhi, Nitin and Sourab of Uttar Pradesh, Arvind and Rajesh of Uttarakhand, Pawan and Pramod of Kerala, Dharmender and Kanwal of Uttarakhand, Paramdeep and Rajesh of Punjab, Sunil and Dharmindra of UP, AS Johar and Abhishek of Uttrakhand, Sanjeev and Hemant of Haryana, Ashish and Sunny, Shalindra and Pratibha, Ajay and Sanjeevani, Rajesh and Archana, Sanjeev and Seema, Sujaya and Jayashree, Tawanya and Prema, Satpal and Maneesh, Dharmendra and Kanwal, Pritam and Umesh, SP Singh and Ram Lakhan, Manmohan and Nerender, Vijay and Pradeep and the duo of Ramesh and Anil. Suryaveer Sharma, Deepak Kumar and Maitari all from Rajasthan were the officials of today’s matches.
The semifinals and the finals of all the events will be played tomorrow.
