JAMMU, Jan 14 : Favouring stern action against Pakistan for its hostile activities, prominent Muslim scholar and chairman of Anjuman Minhaje Rasool, Maulana Syed Athar Hussain Dehlavi today said the future of Jammu and Kashmir is secure only with India.
“Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of the country like other States and its future is secure only with India,” he said while talking to media persons, here today after concluding his two-day visit to the border areas of Mendhar in Poonch.
Condemning the brutal killing of two Indian Army jawans by Pakistani troops in Mendhar, the Moulana said that it was high time for the Government of India to seriously think over framing a long-term policy vis-à-vis Pakistan and take a stern action.
He held Paksitani Army responsible for patronizing anti-India forces and terrorist organizations in the neighbouring country to disturb peace here. “By hanging Ajmal Kasab, only 26/11 chapter has closed but the ground situation not changed yet. India has to eliminate and curb thousands like Kasab being trained in the camps and waiting across the border to sneak into Indian territory”, he said and stressed the need for taking action against people like Lashkar chief Hafeez Saeed and Lahvi Jhangvi.
Moulana Dehlavi also said there is no fun of holding dialogue with Pakistan as there is virtually no Government in the neighbouring country which is being run by the coalition of drug mafia, arms dealers and the militant outfits.
Expressing his concern over neglect of border area people in Jammu and Kashmir, the Moulana urged the Government to pay special attention for the development of these areas. “The Government of India should have a special department to monitor the development in border areas of Jammu Kashmir,” he suggested and lauded the role of Indian Army, which has been raising infrastructure and other facilities in these areas under Operation Sadbhavna.
The Anjuman chief also suggested that the Government of India should not take Taliban’s threat of spreading ‘jehad’ in the country lightly and constitute a strategy to fight militancy. “There must be a proper coordination between the intelligence agencies operating in India so that timely and swift action can be taken when required”, he said and added that the world should actively support India in fighting the terrorism.
