JAMMU, Oct 6: To promote the traditional culture of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) presented its 230th Saturday Series Musical Play “Nashe Kola Bacho” in close coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production on the theme of “Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” at Open Air Theatre, Durga Bhawan, Janipur, here today.
The program was inaugurated by the chief guest, Dr Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director, Health Department J&K Government. VK Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Dr Anju Kumari Dogra, Directorate of Health J&K Government and RP Amla, Director of Event were the guests of honour.
The Items were specially prepared on the theme “Nasha Nai Kario Munde Kureio”, ” Bacho Bacho Tobacoo Kola Bacho”, ” Nai Pee Shraban”, “Bari Kharab Chutki ” , “Nahin Piya Tobacco Balma” , Nukkad, Skits, besides Songs and Dances.
The Music was assisted by Master Raju Bajgal, BLSKS Music Instructor.
Earlier, ML Dogra, Chairman, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan presented welcome address, while Mr Magotra, MD-BLSKS recalled the significant role of NGO’S in eradicating drug menace from the society.
Dr Anju Kumari Dogra in her address stressed for extracting the maximum attention of the masses especially addicted population who suffered from the use of tobacco & tobacco products, alcohol and Liquor.
The singers, musicians, actors and students of music and computer institute who performed in the musical play were Usha Handoo, MC Kotwal, Rajni Gupta, Raju Bajgal , Kuldeep Raj, Dhruv Pandit, Vansh Raina , Usha Rani, Kamla Devi, Kajal, Azen Ali, Rakshit Sharma and Ujwal Sharma.
