JAMMU, Jan 16: Organized by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, “On the Spot Children’s Painting Competition” concluded at Kala Kendra Vikram Chowk, concluded here today.
About 300 Students in the age groups of 6 to 22 years from different institutions of Jammu participated in the Competition.
The first prizes of Rs 800 in senior group went to Himanshu Dogra of Shiksha Niketan Secondary School, Jammu, 2nd prize of Rs 600 was bagged by Balbir Singh of Army Public School Miran Sahib, while three equal prizes of Rs 300 each went to Chansi Khar of Abhay Hr Secondary School, Anjali Siwach and Simrandeep Kour of GD Goenka Public School, Jammu.
Meanwhile, the certificates of merit were awarded to Simran Chouhan of Co-operative Public High School, Muskan Koul of Air Force School, Jammu, Mrinal Raina of Heritage School, Urja Zutshi of MHAC Nagbani and Abhijit of KS Public School, Muthi.
In Amateur Group, the first prize of Rs 1000 went to Saira Choudhary of GCW Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, second prize of Rs 800 was claimed by Anoop Singh of Heritage School, Jammu, while the third prize of Rs 600 was bagged by Nalini Rakwal of GCW Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The certificates of merit were awarded to Parabjot Bali, Shubham Dogra of Shiksha Niketan Hr Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar, Shilpa Thapa, Sasmita Kumari of Indira Sagar Institute of Education and Research, Sipaj Jain, Surbhi Sharma and Tavishi Jain of GCW Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Noted artists Vikas Khajuria and Satpal Deol were the adjudicators of the event, while
Dr Sudhir Mahajan, in charge SOCA Gr–I Coordinated the Programme.
