SRINAGAR, Oct 25: J&K Amateur Boxing Association in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council under organized Srinagar District Khelo India Boxing Championship at Indoor Sports Complex, Bakshi Stadium, here.
The Championship is being organized under-14 boys and girls categories and under-17 boys’ category.
Abdul Qayoom, Chief Sports Officer J&K State Sports Council was the chief guest on the occasion, while Nuzhat Ara was the guest of honour who distributed the prizes among the meritorious boxers on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Nuzhat Gazala Sports Officer Central, Mushtaq Zargar Manager, and S P Singh.
The technical conduct of Championship was performed by Farooq Ahmad, Khalida Bano, Sajjad Hussain, Aman, Sirinder and Vinay, under the supervision of Rajan Sharma, General Secretary J&K Boxing Association.
In Under-14 (girls) 46 kg, Ansu Chesti won Gold and Ayeer Chesti claime Silver, while in 48 Kg, Aamira clinched Gold and Tanisha Silver.
52 Kg, Muquadas Gold, Hadika Silver; In UnderUnder-14 boys, Mohd Ali Gold, Sajjad Hussain Pawal Silver and Mohd Abbas Khatanu Bronze.
