Omar wanted to be a F1 racer

NEW DELHI, Jan 19:
Omar Abdullah says he would have been a Formula One race driver had he not belonged to a political family.
The 42-year-old Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister spoke about the secret ambition he nursed at a “Young Changemakers Conclave” held under the aegis of the UN Information Centre here today.
As the National Conference leader dwelt on weighty issues like terrorism and Indo-Pak tensions, a young girl in the audience popped a question, “If you were only Omar and not Omar Abdullah what would you be doing.?”
After a little pause, a smiling Omar said, “In an ideal world I would have been a Formula One driver but it isn’t an ideal world and I am politician.”
Omar, who recently completed four years in office, is a self-confessed fan of German racer Michael Schumacher, a seven-time Formula One World Champion. (PTI)
