Party workers honour and dignity will be upheld: Rana

JAMMU, Jan 21: National Conference will launch a mass contact programme to reach out to the grass root level across the province and take the message of Omar Abdullah and his Coalition Government to the last mile.
This was decided in the meetings of District Working Committee of District Jammu Rural ‘A’, Jammu Rural ‘B’ and Samba held under the chairmanship of Devender Singh Rana, Provincial President National Conference, Jammu province held at the party headquarters Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan.
The meetings were attended by Minister for Planning & Development, Labour & Employment Ajay Sadhotra, Senior Vice President Surjit Singh Slathia, Vice Presidents, Rattan Lal Gupta, Peer Mushtaq Ahmed Bukhari, Central Secretaries Abdul Gani Malik and Kr. Rachpal Singh, besides District Presidents, Block Presidents and members of District Working Committees.
While chairing the meetings, Devender Singh Rana said that a comprehensive mass contact programme will be drawn up to reach out to every nook and corner of the province and the party structure will be geared up.
Giving a clarion call to the National Conference workers, Rana asked them to get ready for the 2014 polls. He said mission 2014 as decided by the Chief Minister and Party Working President, Omar Abdullah is a mission of each and every National Conference worker and everyone has to commit himself / herself for the success of the party in 2014 elections, so that Omar Abdullah’s vision for the Jammu and Kashmir get translated into a reality.
He said that the State Coalition Government under the stewardship of Omar Abdullah has taken historic initiatives particularly holding of Panchayat elections after three decades, promulgation of Public Service Guarantee Act, setting up of effective RTI Commission, revival of the State Accountability Commission, setting up of new degree colleges, polytechnics and ITIs, launching of SKWEPY for the unemployed youth besides accelerated pace of development across the State.
Rana said the party has to be strengthened and for this it is essential that the workers at the grass root level are strengthened. He said as rightly pointed out by Omar Abdullah the National Conference workers need nothing but respect, honour and love. He said the party workers will henceforth get all respect and love they deserve. He urged the party workers to rise to the occasion and live upto the expectations of Omar Abdullah.
Addressing the meetings, Ajay Sadhotra stressed on the rank and file of the party to strengthen the party all across the province and shatter the designs of their detractors by exhibiting unity and work for the upliftment of people tirelessly.
Addressing the meetings, Sr Vice President Surjit Singh Slathia called upon the workers to contribute positively in strengthening the party and make people aware of the historic achievements and peace initiatives taken by the Omar led Government to bring stability and tranquility in the State.
Addressing the party workers, Vice Presidents, Peer Mushtaq Ahmed Bukhari and Rattan Lal Gupta emphasized on enhancing public rapport by the workers and told them to be actively involved in the implementation of development policy of the coalition Government led by Omar Abdullah.
Central Secretaries, Abdul Gani Malik and Kr. Rachpal Singh also urged the party workers to be on their heels to visit all areas and ascertain public feedback regarding development process
Among others who were present in the meetings included Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Vijay Lakshmi Dutta,Taranjeet Singh Tony, Mohinder Gupta, Satpal Lakhotra and others.
