Yatri Niyas for starting Amarnath Yatra from Jesht Purnima

JAMMU, Jan 21:A meeting of Baba Amaranath & Buda Amaranath Yatri Niyas and its associate member organisations was held under the chairmanship of Surinder Mohan Aggarwal, here today to discuss the measures for coming annual pilgrimage of Baba Shri Amarnath Ji.
The member agreed that the arrangements shall be made in a manner to attract more and more devotees for this year’s Amarnath yatra. They said the increased number of pilgrims will bring economic prosperity for the people living in the yatra area.
The Niyas also congratulated the Governor N.N. Vohra, who is also the Chairman of SMVDSB on the remarkable achievement in the silver jubilee year of SMVDSB after its formation by the then Governor of J&K Mr Jagmohan in the year 1986. They Niyas also congratulated all the officials of the SMVDSB who have served during these 25 years after its formation for putting up their best efforts for raising the infrastructure which could accommodate almost 7 percent increase of the devotees in the last 25 years and which can also facilitate as much as one crore pilgrims of Mata Vaishno Devi in a single year.
The opinion of the associate member organisations of SBASBBA Yatri Niyas was taken regarding the delay in announcing the schedule of the coming Shri Amarnath Yatra 2013. It was felt that despite a sub-committee was constituted by SASB, headed by Shri Shri Ravi Shankar Ji to decide about the duration of yatra and submit its report by 15th December 2012 which it did not submit so far.
All the representatives of associate member organisations agreed unanimously that SASB should have taken the decision by December 15, 2012 as this sub-committee was constituted for this very purpose. BABA Yatri Niyas has regretted that the delay in announcing the schedule of Shri Amarnath Yatra by SASB will affect the coming yatra in 2013.
The meeting asked the Chief Minister to make the necessary arrangements for starting the Amarnath Yatra from the auspicious Jayeshth Purnima which is falling on June 4.
