JAMMU, Nov 23: Arushi Kotwal of J&K secured Silver medal in Western Asian U-14 girls category.
The championship was held in Uzbekistan in which 300 players from 11 countries of Western Asia participated in 16 different age categories from U-6 to U-20 age groups. The event was organized by Uzbekistan Chess Federation.
President All J&K Chess Association Atul Kumar Gupta and all the members congratulated Arushi for this wonderful show.
Earlier this year also she had won silver medal in Asian School Chess Championship in U-14 age category in rapid format.
Atul said that days are not far when J&K players will achieve Grand Master and International Master titles. He further said that Association will continue to provide best possible platform to J&K players by organizing quality events in the State.
