Khalsa Cricket Club, Road Safety XI register wins, enter semis

JAMMU, Nov 23: Khalsa Cricket Club and Road Safety XI registered wins and entered into the semifinal round of the ongoing 7th Eid-Diwali Milan Cricket Cup, being organized by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu in collaboration with Simula Cricket Club, KC Sports Club and Vishal Cricket Club, here today.
In the first quarterfinal match, Khalsa Cricket Club defeated KCCC by 7 runs and entered into the semis.
Batting first, Khalsa Cricket Club scored 135 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.
From bowling side, Balwan took 5 wickets, Ankush Bandral took 2 wickets and Manik Gupta took 1 wicket.
In reply, KCCC could not chase the target and made only 128 runs thus lost the match by 7 runs. Vimarsh scored 36 runs while Dikshant Kundal scored 25 runs.
From bowling side, Aman took 3 wickets, Harinder and Prithvi shared 1 wicket each.
In second quarterfinal match, Road Safety XI registered win over KC Sports Academy by a huge margin of 70 runs and sailed into the semifinal round.
Batting first, Road Safety XI scored 175 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Hinnan chipped in magnificent 85 runs and Ishtiyaq scored 30 runs.
From bowling side, Joshi took 4 wickets while Abhinav took 1 wicket.
In reply, KC Sports Academy failed to chase the target and bundled out at 105 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Sidharth scored 35 runs while Shubham made 20 runs.
From bowling side, Rompy and Arvind scalped 3 wickets each, while RK Ghar took 1 wicket.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Ashok Kumar, Sanju and Vijay.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Simulà Cricket Club will clash with Khalsa Cricket Club and Road Safety XI will lock horns with Samar Cricket Club.
