JAMMU, Nov 24: British International School, Sainik Colony celebrated its first Annual Day here today.
On the occasion, BB Vyas, Advisor to Governor was the chief guest, while Dr SD Singh Jamwal, IGP Jammu and Ramesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Jammu were guests of honour.
The students captivated the audience with their endearing and enthusiastic performance in this spectacular show. The dignitaries were ushered to their seats by House Captains. The program began with lighting of the lamp and invoking the blessings of Lord Almighty. The function named Le Reunion 2018 included a series of thematic performances ranging from devotion to family values, patriotism, unity in diversity, parental love, social issues and many more.
The function started with an invocation to Lord Ganesha. The students presented a prayer dance which enthralled the audience. On the other hand, the vibrant music, breath taking colours and highly coordinated movement set the tone for various folk dances, where students performed the eye catching performance. The main highlight of the day was the dance programme called 5 elements of earth, Panchtatva. The dance featured the 5 elements that we are surrounded with the air, the water, the sky, the nature and the earth. Confidence level of the students was witnesses by the audiences while presenting the dances on the stage. The show was a sumptuous feast for the eyes and the ears. Whole auditorium enthralled the audience to the fullest with the music.
In the end, Chairperson Gita Sharma presented vote of thanks.
